Recently, it was learned from the Tianjin Branch of CNOOC that with the construction of Kenli 10-2 oilfield Phase I/Kenli 10-1 oilfield A54 well block development project in Tianjin and Qingdao on the 10th, the construction of Kenli 10-2 oilfield of 100 million tons officially entered the development and construction stage.
Kenli 10-2 oilfield is located in the southern waters of Bohai Sea, about 245 kilometers away from Tianjin, with an average water depth of about 15.7 meters. It is a large lithologic oil and gas reservoir discovered by CNOOC in 2021 in the shallow layer of Laizhou Bay Depression, with proven geological reserves of more than 100 million tons of crude oil.
The project includes the construction of a new central platform, two unmanned wellhead platforms, seven new submarine pipelines and four submarine cables in Kenli 10-2 oilfield, which is a key project to achieve the production capacity of 40 million tons and 3 million tons of heavy oil in Bohai oilfield by 2025.
The CEPC block of the project is the largest block in Bohai oil field so far, and the weight of the block is nearly 20,000 tons, which is close to the load limit of the floating vessel. Faced with the problem of total recontrol of the block, the project team "reduced the weight" of the block through accurate equipment weight assessment and fine design, so as to achieve the overall floating support of the block and the living building and even the workover rig, laying a solid foundation for the efficient completion of the offshore joint deployment.
